ChelPipe’s pipe sales rise 8% to 2 mln tns in 2019

MOSCOW, Feb 13 (PRIME) -- Pipe sales of Russia’s Chelyabinsk Pipe Plant (ChelPipe) rose 8% to 2.07 million tonnes in 2019, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Sales of large-diameter pipes went up 33% to 916,000 tonnes.

Sales of seamless industrial pipes grew 11% to 498,000 tonnes, of oil country tubular goods increased by 3% to 469,000 tonnes, and of line pipes rose 16% to 152,000 tonnes.

Domestic sales fell 6% to 1.334 million tonnes. Exports amounted to 736,000 tonnes, accounting to 36% of all sales.
